What is Ulcerative Colitis?
Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) where the inner lining of the rectum and colon (the large bowel) becomes inflamed and tiny ulcers form that can bleed. It is a painful, life-long condition that seriously affects quality of life for millions of people.
UC is a ‘chronic’ condition, which means that although it is a life-long condition there may be periods where there are no symptoms at all and other times when the condition is more active, known as a ‘flare’.
Unfortunately, despite there being a wide choice of treatment options available, many people continue to experience symptoms or develop side effects to their medication.
The aim of the Vibrato research study is to compare the effects of the study drugs, PF-06651600 and PF-06700841 with placebo on Ulcerative Colitis (UC). We hope you will want to learn more about this research study and will follow the steps to see if you could take part.
